Snapshot
Project: Our own product — a certified Google CSS (Comparison Shopping Service) made of two halves that feed each other: verteco.shop, the merchant-facing service that puts e-shops on Google Shopping at a lower cost-per-click, and css.verteco.shop, the public price-comparison engine where shoppers browse and compare the same offers directly.
Why it exists: Google Shopping applies a surcharge on click fees when you advertise through Google’s own CSS. Following the EU antitrust ruling against Google, merchants are allowed to run their Product Listing Ads through an independent CSS instead — and skip that surcharge. We are a Google CSS Partner since 2018, so we built the whole pipeline ourselves and productized it.
What it proves to a prospective client: we don’t just configure other people’s ad tech — we operate our own comparison platform at EU scale: feed ingestion, product matching, 16-language localisation, and a public storefront, all in production for years.

What the platform actually does
The merchant side — verteco.shop
When an e-shop switches its Product Listing Ads from Google’s default CSS to ours, Google waives the surcharge it otherwise adds to every click. The campaigns, the ad formats and the way products display stay exactly the same — the merchant simply gets up to 20% more clicks for the same budget (or the same clicks for ~20% less spend). We charge a flat monthly fee rather than a percentage, keep onboarding self-serve with a 30-day free trial, and support every major e-commerce platform — Shoptet and WooCommerce shops are live on it today.
The shopper side — css.verteco.shop
A CSS isn’t allowed to be a paper company — it has to be a real comparison-shopping site. So we built one people can actually use: css.verteco.shop/en lets anyone search millions of products from thousands of European stores, compare every offer side by side — price, availability, merchant — and click straight through to the store with the best deal. It runs in 16 languages across EU markets, with browsable merchant and brand directories, and it is the engine that carries our merchants’ 10M+ product offers onto Google Shopping.
The engineering underneath
The unglamorous part is what makes it work at this scale:
- Feed ingestion pipeline — normalising product feeds from 1,000+ shops on different platforms (Shoptet, WooCommerce, custom carts) into one catalogue.
- Product & offer matching — grouping the same product across merchants so a shopper sees one card with every price, not ten duplicates.
- 16-language localisation — categories, attributes and UI localised per market, the same multi-market discipline we apply to client projects.
- Google integration — CSS status verified with Google, per-market Shopping campaigns and the reporting merchants need to see the CPC difference in their own dashboards.
Why this matters if you’re hiring us
Most agencies sell Google Shopping management. Very few own the rails their clients ride on. Running our own CSS means we understand feeds, auctions and EU-market localisation from the operator’s side — and our e-commerce clients plug into that advantage on day one, usually combined with Google Ads management and an e-shop build.
